QUALITY INSPECTION

CEP Solar conducts quality control on manufacturer’s premises, in accordance with IEC 61215 standard, as well as control of manufacturer’s internal reports and all documents related with the production, carried out by expert personnel constantly present in the factory throughout the production process. Upon completion of the inspection, CEP Solar issues a comprehensive inspection report containing detailed information and supported with digital pictures.

CEP Solar inspection procedures range from inspecting materials and components, pre-production and during production, up until finished product, conducting:

  • Inspections of primary materials and components.
  • Checking storage and working/environmental conditions.
  • Control of each step of the production.
  • Visual inspections of all finished modules as per IEC 61215 standard guidelines.
  • Re-flashing of panels to ensure that power output corresponds with stated nominal output, within tolerance.
  • Non-destructive tests, such as electrical insulation, robustness of terminations and mechanical load test.
  • Infrared and electroluminescence imaging to identify defects which could limit the efficiency or the lifetime of modules.
  • Destructive tests on materials employed for the production, such as EVA pull and peel strength test, EVA gel content test.*
  • Control packing conditions of the photovoltaic modules and loading supervision.

 

Inspection programs:

360º PV Inspection ™ – Premium

This is the most comprehensive quality inspection procedure that CEP Solar offers and ensures the maximum efforts possible in terms of quality assurance of photovoltaic panels. With this comprehensive review it’s possible to detect the most common defects.

This type of inspection program entails:

  • On-going control throughout the production process of primary materials and components, storage and working environmental conditions, each step of the production process, packing and loading conditions.
  • 100 % final visual inspection.
  • 100 % independent re-flashing, infrared and electroluminescence imaging tests.
  • Non destructive tests sampling using a single sampling plan, normal level II, AQL major 2.5 / minor 4.0 in accordance with ISO 2859 standard.
  • Destructive tests sampling for every lot of EVA or when adjusting process parameters*

*Destructive tests are only done with Client approval and the quantity of module to employ for the tests is agreed with the Client.

 360º PV Inspection ™– Standard

This inspection procedure assures an excellent level of accuracy in detecting defective modules and the best quality control / time savings ratio. Thanks to statistical sampling techniques, it is possible to identify possible defects with high probability even with a relatively high volume of goods. ISO 2859 is the internationally recognized quality system established by the International Organization for Standardization. It is the most widely accepted method of sampling based on mathematical theory of probability.

 This type of inspection program entails:

  • On-going control throughout the production process of primary materials and components, storage and working environmental conditions, each step of the production process, packing and loading conditions.
  • 100 % final visual inspection.
  • Independent re-flashing, infrared and electroluminescence imaging tests sampling using a single sampling plan, normal level II, AQL major 2.5 / minor 4.0 in accordance with ISO 2859 standard.
  • Non destructive tests sampling using a single sampling plan, normal level II, AQL major 2.5 / minor 4.0 in accordance with ISO 2859 standard.
  • Destructive tests sampling for every lot of EVA or when adjusting process parameters*
